Jaya Bachchan recently released Nasreen Munni Kabir`s latest book, `Bollywood - The Indian Cinema Story.` The inaugural ceremony was held at the reputed bookstore, `Crosswords` in Mumbai.

The book has within it originality and is probably the first of it`s kind. Mainstream Hindi cinema, its trends and phases constitute the subject matter of the book. It is heard that The Bachchan himself was to do the honours, but due to some unfortunate circumstance, they had to settle in for probably the next best choice. And Jaya Bachchan it was!
